Launching VoiSona

Q.VoiSona cannot be used with Logic Pro's ARA plug-in.

For Macs equipped with Apple Silicon, enable "Open using Rosetta" in Logic Pro and launch the application. After starting up, select "VoiSona Song ARA Plugin (ARA)" in the plug-in slot.

Selecting a Voice Library

Q. Can CeVIO AI and CeVIO Creative Studio voices be used with VoiSona?

Basically, only dedicated voice libraries can be used with VoiSona. However, some voices can also be used in VoiSona by entering the serial number activated in CeVIO AI.

Activation requires the CeVIO AI song editor.
As a sister brand of CeVIO, we will continue to consider cross-platform compatibility with VoiSona for song voices that are in high demand.
ℹ️
VoiSona voice libraries cannot be used with CeVIO AI or CeVIO Creative Studio.

Q. I want to cancel my voice library subscription.

During the contract period, please make a cancellation reservation by following the steps below.
  1. Log in to the LICENSE page.
  1. Select the voice library you are contracted for.
  1. Click the "Cancel subscription" button in the "Reservation to cancel monthly or annual plan" section at the bottom of the page.
ℹ️
When the display changes to "Status: Reserved for subscription cancellation", automatic renewal will be turned off, and your licence will be automatically cancelled at the end of your contract period. The licence will be automatically cancelled when the contract period ends. Please note that you can continue to use the voice library during the contract period.

Q. I cannot download a voice library.

Please refer to Selecting a Voice Library in this manual.

Q. Selecting a voice library failed.

After clicking the "Delete Voice" button to the right of the voice library version number, please download it again.

Q. I can’t use a downloaded voice library on GarageBand.

Follow the steps below (example: macOS 15.3) to change the settings and allow the dylib to run.
  1. Go to "System Settings" > "Privacy & Security".
  1. Click "Open Anyway" on the right side of "ts_..." dylib was blocked to protect your Mac.
ℹ️
This dylib is signed, but GarageBand has stricter security restrictions than other DAWs, so explicit permission may be required even if it is signed. Note that when downloading and using a new voice library, the same procedure may be required again.

Score Editing

Q. Can I specify the playback start position?

Clicking on the ruler section (the area where the bar numbers are displayed) moves the position cursor (white vertical line) and allows you to specify any position. After that, click the play button to play the audio from the position cursor.

Q. I want to enter small notes such as 64th notes.

VoiSona can input notes up to 32nd notes. If you want to adjust the timing of the notes more precisely, use the timing (TMG) adjustment screen.

When you turn on the eye icon in the Volume (VOL) tab, the volume line will be displayed, making it easier to adjust the timing visually.

Q. When using the plugin, some shortcut keys do not respond.

Open "Preferences" and change the shortcut key settings in the "Shortcuts" tab.
ℹ️
If the same shortcut key as VoiSona is already assigned in DAW, the DAW shortcut will take priority, and the VoiSona shortcut may not work properly.

Q. Text input and shortcut keys do not respond in Logic Pro or GarageBand.

Enable "Open using Rosetta" in Logic Pro or GarageBand and launch the application. When using VoiSona in Logic Pro or GarageBand on a Mac with Apple Silicon, text input and shortcut keys may not respond.
ℹ️
This is thought to be caused by a bug on Apple's side, which prevents keyboard input from being correctly transmitted to the plugin.

Q. When using the VoiSona Song ARA Plugin in Logic Pro, no sound is played during note editing or keyboard presses.

In Logic Pro, it seems that ARA plug-ins do not produce sound when paused. This behaviour is not limited to VoiSona, but also applies to other ARA plug-ins.

Q. How many devices can I use it on?

You can activate (register for use) it on up to three devices, including the PC version and iOS/iPadOS version.
ℹ️
You can register up to 2 Windows/macOS computers and up to 2 iOS/iPadOS smartphones or tablets, but the total number of devices you can use is limited to 3.
If you want to change the device you are using, please deactivate the currently registered device from the ACCOUNT page.

Q. Can I change my login password?

Please change your password from "Change Password" on the ACCOUNT page.

Q. I want to delete my account.

If you wish to delete your account, please follow the procedure here. If you have a paid license, you cannot delete your account from this page. Please contact us from the CONTACT page.

Q. I am experiencing activation failure when using both "VoiSona" and "VoiSona Talk".

Due to an update, the method for acquiring the hardware information necessary for activation has changed.If you are using both "VoiSona" and "VoiSona Talk", we kindly ask you to update both software. If activation fails after updating, please deactivate the old activation information on your ACCOUNT page.

Q. How can I use the "Waveform Generator Prototype A"?

The "Waveform Generator Prototype A" feature, which was included as a trial feature in the Japanese song library "Chis-A", has been discontinued with the release of "Chis-A" version 2.0. As a result, it was last included in the 1.8.x song editor. If you wish to reproduce audio waveforms created using the "Waveform Generator Prototype A", please download the 1.8.2 song editor from here.
