This chapter explains how to create a new project and how to open and save a project file.
Creating a New Project
Create a new project and start editing.
- Select "File" > "New Project" from the menu bar. A new project is created.
If there are unsaved changes, a dialog asks whether to save the current project.
Opening a Project File (.tstprj)
Open a saved project file to resume editing.
- Select "File" > "Open..." from the menu bar.
If there are unsaved changes, a dialog asks whether to save the current project.
- Select a project file and click "Open". The selected project file opens.
Saving a Project File (.tstprj)
All the tracks and sentences you are editing are saved as a single project file (.tstprj).
- Select "File" > "Save" or "Save As..." from the menu bar.
- If a dialog appears, specify the location and file name, and confirm. The project file is saved in the specified location.
Audio files loaded into audio tracks are not saved inside the project file.
The project file records only the location of each audio file.
When you move or share the project file, move the original audio files together with it.
Always keep them in the same folder structure.
If you move only the project file, the audio tracks cannot be loaded correctly.
