Entering a Sentence
You can enter a sentence by following steps.
- Click the item in the "Sentence" column.
- Type the text you want to enter.
- Press the Enter key. The input will be confirmed, and a new line will be added.

Pressing Ctrl + Enter will confirm the current sentence without adding a new line.
Supported characters and muximum input length
- Japanese voice library Japanese text consisting of full-width hiragana, katakana, and kanji characters can be entered.
- English voice library English text consisting of half-width alphabetic characters and numbers can be entered.
- The half-width character "<" cannot be entered.
- Up to 500 characters can be entered per sentence.
Tips for natural speech synthesis
The synthesized voice is influenced by the entire sentence in that line.
To achieve more natural reading, enter one sentence per line and use "、" (Japanese comma) to appropriately separate long sentences.
Adding "?" or "!" at the end of a sentence will add variations to the way it is spoken.
Moving Sentences
You can change the start time of the entered sentence or move it to another track.
Moving a Sentence on the Timeline
When you enter a sentence, a sentence element will appear on the track timeline.
By moving this sentence element, you can freely adjust the position of the sentence.
- Perform one of the following operations.
- To change the start or end time Drag the dialogue element left or right.
- To change the track Drag the dialogue element up or down.

Hold down the Ctrl key while clicking to select multiple sentences.
Moving a Sentence by Specifying a Time
You can also click the item in the "Start" or "End" column of each row and enter a value of start time or end time to move the dialogue.
The changes are also reflected on the track’s timeline.

Click the "Start" column header to sort the list in ascending order of start time.

Changing the Track a Sentence is Assigned to
You can change the track a sentence is assigned to by following the steps below.
- Click the item in the "Track" column of the line.
- Select the desired track from the dropdown menu.

Click the "Track" column header to sort the list in the same order as the track list.

Editing Sentence list
Edit the sentence list by deleting, inserting, and other actions.
Deleting a Line
You can delete a line by following these steps.
- Click the trash can icon on the line you want to delete. The line is deleted, and the line below automatically moves up.

Inserting a New Line
You can insert a line by following these steps.
- Right-click a line and select "Insert New Line" > "Insert Above" or "Insert Below". A blank line will be inserted above or below the selected line.

Adding from the Timeline
Right-click on the track timeline and select "Add New Sentence" to insert a blank line at the corresponding position in the sentence list.

Inserting Copied Lines or Text
You can insert copied lines or text using the following steps.
- Copying lines or text from VoiSona Talk, or text from other applications.
- Right-click a line in the sentence list, then select "Insert" > "Insert Above" or "Insert Below". Lines containing the copied text will be inserted.


Difference Between "Insert" and "Paste"
- Insert All copied lines are inserted as new lines.
- Paste The copied lines or text overwrite the existing text. If multiple lines are copied, the lines below are also overwritten. Even if there are not enough existing lines, no new lines are added.
Editing Tracks
VoiSona Talk allows you to create multiple tracks.
You can assign a different voice library to each track.
Adding a Track
You can add a track by following the steps below.
- Select "+" > "Add Track" or "Add Audio Track." A new track will be added to the bottom of the track list, and a new line will appear in the sentence list.

You can change the order of tracks by selecting a track and clicking the "▲" or "▼" button.

Inserting a New Track Above the Selected Track
Right-click on the track timeline, then select "Insert Track" > "Track" or "Audio Track" to insert a new track above that track.

Changing the Track Name
You can edit a track name by following these steps.
- In the track list, click the track name you want to change.
- Edit the text and confirm. The track name will be updated in both the track list and the sentence list.
